Branding for New Mindfulness Service

In 2016 Nick Taylor left his job as an NHS psychologist to found a digital mindfulness and resilience service. He approached The Kennedys to create a brand identity, including a name, visual language, and tone of voice.

The name Unmind comes from the idea that to meditate - we need to release the distracting background chatter in our minds and give ourselves a bit of mental breathing room. The design for the logo was inspired by Nick's description of emotion as a "spectrum" - mental health isn't simply good or bad, we can experience multiple emotions at once, and everyone's needs for emotional wellbeing are different.

Using the branding we created, we designed Nick's VC proposal deck, with Unmind securing seed funding in October 2016. Not taking any credit for Nick's hard work but who could say no to a beautiful custom icon system?
