Bespoke packaging for the cat in the hat
Curro Coronel is a hatter from the mining town Jaén in Spain and his work is heavily influenced by the lives of the miners. The project began as a branding and packaging design brief, but became a product design brief as we settled on the idea of wrapping his pieces in scarves as a reference to the bundles miners in the 1920s would have used to carry their possesions. The packaging became an object in itself, with the printed design taken from traditional Andalucian tiles, and the wooden handles featuring Curro's logo.
